Crabs & Mudskippers

弧邊管招潮蟹
Tubuca arcuata

Tubuca arcuata can be found along the two sides of the Mangrove Boardwalk in Wetland Park during low tide. They have red or orange carapace and the males are 'equipped' with a large claw. They wave their claws in a way that looks like praying for the arrival of tide. In fact, the males wield their large claws for defending their territories and attracting females, and use the small claws for feeding.
