Water Dragon
Ludwigia adscendens

Water-dragon is also named as Water Primrose. It is a water lover and can usually be found in freshwater habitats. As it floats on water with its floating stems and leaves, it can inhabit in shallow or deep water. Water-dragon has two types of roots: one anchor the plant to the soil and the other keep the plant afloat by the air sac within. Water-dragon’s relative, the Primrose Willow (Ludwigia x taiwanensis), can also be found in the Wetland Park. Water-dragon and Primrose Willow look alike, except the later one has yellow flowers.
