The body colour of Asian Common Toad varies from yellowish brown to dark brown, and its body are mostly covered with granules and tubercles. The pair of large glands behind its eyes secrets poison to defend against its predators. The poisonous secretion is also used in the Chinese medicine 'Bufalin'.
