Hong Kong Wetland Park Summer Internship Programme aims at offering opportunities for students of tertiary institutions to gain working experience through taking part in organising educational activities and nature conservation works in HKWP.
Interns will receive a series of trainings, covering ecological knowledge about wetlands, wildlife identification, as well as interpretation skills.

Programme Content
- Interns are required to accomplish the 4-day training course and at least 200 hours of service within the internship period.
- Interns will experience to work in different sections of HKWP to learn about the management of the Park.
- Services would include tour guiding services, habitat management works, field visit, conducting customer surveys and developing education programme and relevant materials.
- Interns should complete a group project within the period of internship and attend the sharing session at the end of the programme.
- Interns should wear the HKWP volunteer uniform and volunteer pass during their service.
- Evaluations will be conducted based on students' performance, and the evaluation report will be sent to the relevant tertiary institution for reference.
- Tertiary institutions that plan to associate the Summer Internship Programme with their curriculum shall make prior arrangements with HKWP.
- Summer Internship Programme is a voluntary programme and there will be no allowance for the service.
Recognition
Students completed the Programme will be awarded the Summer Internship Certificate and awards according to the HKWP Volunteer Scheme.
Application
- Recruitment of the Programme begins from March of each year. Applicants shall be nominated by their respective tertiary institutions. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to a selection interview.
- Applicants can submit an "Application Enquiry" to Hong Kong Wetland Park. Hong Kong Wetland Park will contact the applicants for details of the application.
