Arrangements Under Inclement Weather Conditions
1. Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 8 or above:
Hong Kong Wetland Park will be temporarily closed until the Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 8 or above is cancelled. The Park will reopen within 2 hours afterwards. However, if the Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 8 or above remains in effect at 2 pm, the Park will not open on that day.
2. Black Rainstorm Warning Signal:
- If the Black Rainstorm Warning Signal is in force before the Hong Kong Wetland Park opens, the Park will remain closed. The Park will reopen within 2 hours after the Black Rainstorm Warning Signal is cancelled. However, if the Black Rainstorm Warning Signal is still in effect at 2:00 pm, the Park will not open on that day.
- If the Black Rainstorm Warning Signal comes into effect after the Hong Kong Wetland Park has opened, the Visitor Centre will remain in service until the normal closing time or until visitors can safely leave. Outdoor areas will be temporarily closed, and all educational and guided programmes held outdoors will be cancelled.
3. "Extreme Conditions":
If the Government has made the "Extreme Conditions" announcement before the Hong Kong Wetland Park opens, the Park will remain closed. Where conditions permit, the Park will reopen within 2 hours after the "Extreme Conditions" announcement is cancelled. However, if the "Extreme Conditions" announcement is still in effect at 2:00 pm, the Park will not open on that day.
If the Government has made the "Extreme Conditions" announcement after the Hong Kong Wetland Park has opened, the Visitor Centre will remain in service until the normal closing time or until visitors can safely leave. Outdoor areas will be temporarily closed, and all educational and guided programmes held outdoors will be cancelled.
