Wetland Challenge
Through this Gallery, visitors are guided to a tour along a "river" , discovering the threats against wetlands due to human activities. A major vehicle of the gallery is Wetland Television (WTV), a make-believe television centre that allows visitors to explore issues on wetland conservation.

Wetland Television: Be a Wetland Reporter
How much do you care about Wetland Conservation? Now you have a chance of being a Wetland Television (WTV) reporter. Being a WTV reporter, through different interactive games you can operate a dam and collect views from various stake-holders. You can sneak into a mining site to report any illegal activities. Peek the factory through CCTV for any potential harms to the environment; manipulate the satellite camera to monitor the energy usage by different people. You can also dive to explore any exploitation of the coral reef !

At our Wetland Challenge Gallery, you will learn how wetland resources are being exploited. Your choice can make a difference:

  • Ensure traditional medicines come from sustainable sources
  • Buy fake fur and skins instead of the real thing
  • Buy plants from suppliers that don't collect from the wild
  • Don't keep wild animals as pets
  • Buy meat from famed sources, not from the wild
  • Buy fish from sustainable sources
