Journeys of thousands of miles become a challenge which migratory birds have to encounter in their life. Hong Kong lies on the East Asian –Australasian Flyway, which is one of the nine known major flyways.
It seems impossible to have a view of all these migratory bird flyways together, but in the "Frozen North" gallery we have display a gigantic map of bird flyways, with bird specimens from their respective routes.
To provide a better demonstration of the route and characteristic of these migratory birds, we have installed a touch-screen computer opposite to the map, which let visitors to access the information efficiently.
