Banana Shrub is an evergreen shrub widely cultivated in Asian tropical region. Flowers are pale yellow in colour with unique banana scent. Since Banana Shrub belongs to Family Magnoliaceae, it is also the larval food plant of butterfly species Common Jay (Graphium doson) and Tailed Jay (Graphium agamemnon).
